Mr. Tiki Kon Contest - CALL FOR CONTESTANTS
New this year at Tiki Kon, it’s the MR. TIKI KON CONTEST! We’re looking for men age 18 to 80 to compete for the title of Mr. Tiki Kon. Five finalists will be selected to compete live on July 9, at the Red Lion on the River - Jantzen Beach. The winner will be selected by a panel of “celebrity” judges and will receive an incredible gold trophy (a gold-plated ultra super limited event mug by VanTiki), Tiki Kon merchandise package, and two VIP passes to next year’s Tiki Kon.
This isn’t your typical beauty pageant. We're not just looking for handsome men with winning smiles to represent this year's Tiki and USO theme, but more importantly, the man who best embodies the spirit of Tiki Kon. That means classic, vintage style style and good looks, short or tall, skinny or large, with bonus points for vintage style, panache and creativity.
How to Enter
Complete the Mr. Tiki Kon application and questionnaire and submit 3 photos of yourself in your Tiki-est attire or location. Have fun! Get creative! The deadline to enter is midnight on July 1.

Round 1 - Online
Five finalists will be selected by a panel of Tiki Kon organizers and sponsors and will be announced on Sunday, July 3. In order to compete, finalists must be present at Tiki Kon for the following rounds of competition.
Round 2 - The Swimwear Competition
Model your best poolside ensemble on the runway for our celebrity judges. We’re looking for cabana suits, swim suits or other poolside attire. You don’t have to be buff, just wear it well!

Round 3 - Limbo Contest
Don’t change out of that swimsuit yet. Right after the swimwear competition is the limbo contest! How low can you go? Shimmy and shake under the limbo pole for the judges and win extra points for going the lowest.

Round 4 - Formal Wear Competition
The final round will be held during our Saturday Night Camp Show. Model your best formal wear on stage for the judges and prove you’re not just a pretty boy in a swimsuit. We’re looking for handsome men in their best attire for a swanky night of cocktailing...tiki, military, or modern, just look your best!

Winner Announcement

RULES
- The Mr. Tiki Kon Contest is open to all men over the age of 18.
- The deadline to enter is midnight on July 1, 2016.
- Competitors must be Tiki Kon attendees and purchase tickets to the Saturday Night Camp Show in order to compete in the final round and accept any award.
- Finalists will be selected by a panel of Tiki Kon organizers. The winner will be selected by a panel of “celebrity” judges. The judges’ decisions are final.
- Finalists agree to participate in a promotional photo shoot on Saturday, July 9, to be held immediately after rounds 2 and 3 of the competition.
- Tiki Kon reserves the right to publish competitors’ photo and bio submissions eletronically and in our printed event program, and to use participants’ likeness, name, photographs, video or audio recordings, etc. for promotional purposes of any type. Entrants must own all copyrights and publication rights to submitted photos.
- Inappropriate photos will be enjoyed privately but ultimately disqualified at the discretion of Tiki Kon staff.
