"In 2011, I took my first trip to Tahiti. It was an eye opener for me. I saw original Polynesian and Melanesian artwork, met beautiful people and started to gain more insight into the TIKI world. The idea of making this my main life’s work occurred to me at that time. Since then, I have visited every TIKI venue I could reach from Florida to Washington state. Attending Tiki Kon in Portland, Oregon, I realized that there are a whole lot of other TIKI enthusiasts, that a whole community of TIKI people exists!"
