"Tiki Lindy" started cooking when she was only 6 years old, where she grew up in the South. Always exhibiting passion for quality and exploration of culture through food, her career and interests led her to the San Francisco bay area. She earned her way through college, earning her Doctor of Pharmacy degree, with a variety of jobs, including running her own catering company and bartending. This led her to private events bartending and creating custom event cocktails for high end clientele, which she began in 2001.
Tiki Lindy fell in love with all things tiki when she moved to California, a passion which led her to culminating her tropical and tiki inspired recipes into a groundbreaking book just published earlier this year. Tiki Lindy's Field Guide to Pupus, Tidbits & Exotic Provisions is a unique collection of island cuisine recipes told through a fun backstory of a group of 19th century explorers. In addition to her well received book, Tiki Lindy's cocktails have received acclaim in bartending competitions and featured at special events nationwide. She takes an fun and modern approach to the whimsy and escapism of tiki and craft cocktails, and is excited to share her techniques this year at Tiki Kon.
