While we can never pay all our volunteers what they're worth, we try to offer great benefits for helping out. It's also tons of fun and a great way to meet people and make friends.
4+ hours of service
- 25% discount on Tiki Kon merchandise, while supplies last*
- Complimentary parking for on-site shifts (however, we recommend taking public transit)
- Access to whichever show/presentation/activity you're working
- A well-deserved sense of accomplishment!
8+ hours in a single day, consecutive shifts
- Lunches are provided for volunteers who sign up for consecutive shifts (less than 1 hour break between shifts)**. If we're unable to provide lunch for whatever reason, we'll reimburse up to $20 for food you purchase yourself. Reimbursement will happen post-event, and you must provide receipts.
10+ hours of service
- All of the above, plus:
- One Standard Weekend Pass or equivalent refund if you've already purchased a pass***
18+ hours of service
- All of the above, plus:
- Invitation to the exclusive Tiki Kon cast party in late summer
- 40% discount on any remaining Tiki Kon merchandise (available for purchase after at the cast party)
* 25% discount is available at the Tiki Kon Gift Shop July 1-2, or will be refunded after Tiki Kon for pre-ordered merchandise upon request after Tiki Kon. Some items, such as the official mug by VanTiki may sell out during pre-sales. Volunteers wishing to obtain one should pre-order when the go on sale June 1st.
** Lunch will most likely be a box lunch prepared by the hotel, such as a sandwich or wrap, chips, cookie, and water. If you require a vegetarian or gluten-free lunch, please let us know at least 5 days before your shifts.
*** Refunds will be issued after Tiki Kon upon request.
