A MAX Red Line train prepares to depart from Portland International Airport

Getting Here

Arrive by plane, train or automobile. Portland is a world class travel destination with a top rated airport and transit system.

Arrive by Air

Portland International Airport (PDX) is 11 miles from the Doubletree hotel, where Tiki Kon is hosted. You can rent a car, catch a taxi or rideshare, or jump on the train.

The MAX light rail system offers door to door service for just $2.50! Board the Red Line at the airport--it's the last stop on the line--then get off at the Lloyd Center stop. The Doubletree is just steps away.

TRAVEL ADVISORY

The MAX Red Line will be out of service through October for a major construction project. Shuttle buses will be running between Portland International Airport and the Gateway Transit Center. Passengers can board Red Line trains at Gateway, which will take them to the doorstep of the DoubleTree hotel. Please plan an extra 30 minutes to get to or from the airport using transit. Plan your trip here: https://trimet.org/home/planner-trip.

Arrive by Bus/Train

The Greyhound and Amtrak stations are adjacent to one another, just 2 miles away from the hotel by car, and also served by light rail. Catch the Green Line to Clackamas at NW 6th & Hoyt, and get off at the Lloyd Center stop. NOTE: The area around Union Station can be a bit seedy. Be aware of your surroundings and travel with a companion if possible, especially at night.

Parking

If you're arriving by car, parking at the Doubletree is just $10/day for overnight guests, or $8/day for day use, marked down from $27 just for Tiki Kon attendees. If you're just coming in for the day, make sure to grab a parking pass from our check-in desk in order to get the special pricing.

Unless you really want to get out and explore the nether reaches of the Portland area, you really don't need a car at Tiki Kon. Public transit and ride sharing (Lyft, Uber) are great options for short jaunts around town.

CAUTION: Like most big cities right now, Portland is experiencing its share of property crimes. Neither the DoubleTree nor Tiki Kon is responsible for theft or damage to automobiles. We suggest not leaving valuables in your car, and parking in the hotel garage. Do not park on the street or in the Lloyd Center shopping mall parking lot.
